This is a routine task that is conducted with utmost professionalism, including in the Intan Jaya Regency, Papua Tengah Province. On Tuesday, 10 September 2024, the Kotis Mamba Post received a visit from Community Figures, Religious Figures, and residents from several villages in the Sugapa District. These residents, from Soambili Village, Amesiga Village, Holomama Village, and Mamba Bawah Village, came together in a familial atmosphere to share their aspirations and feedback on the ongoing cooperation efforts between the TNI and the community. Their visit was a testament to the confidence they have in the professional conduct of the TNI Task Forces.
Residents and the security forces are united in their goal to achieve a conducive security situation in the Sugapa District area. Reverend Urben Sani, the Head of the Sambilia Mamba Church, who was also present at the Mamba Post, emphasized the importance of good communication between residents and the Security Forces. He highlighted that it is especially crucial to identify personnel or sympathizers of the Free Papua Movement Organization (OPM) in the Sugapa District. Reverend Urben's words underscore the need for active participation from all parties in maintaining security, making the audience feel informed and involved.
Furthermore, the Commander of the Task Forces of the Raider Infantry Battalion 509/Balawara Yudha Kostrad, Lieutenant Colonel Dian Dessiawan Setyadi, who directly received the visit, expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the concern of Community Figures, Religious Figures, and residents of the Sugapa District regarding the importance of cooperation to maintain the security. LtCol Dian's message to the residents is not to hesitate to report to the Soldiers if they find any OPM personnel or sympathizers trying to enter the Sugapa District for further handling by the Security Forces.
"The response of the 509 Task Forces to conduct communication with the residents of Sugapa District to maintain security is an implementation of the TNI's task of carrying out inclusive social communication with all parties to support the acceleration of development in the Papua region," said HABEMA Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, after receiving a report on the implementation of the activity.
